We ask that you communicate with your tutor via the comments panel (under 'View feedback') rather than replying to annotations.

Click the arrows [1] to view the assignment in full screen.

Click on the ellipses [2] to expand a comment. Positive feedback will be shown in green, and areas requiring correction or improvement will be shown in blue. Droppers or other annotations may be used to acknowledge work, and will not always have a comment attached.

We recommend always viewing your assignment feedback in Canvas for the full experience.

If you must download your annotated assignment for your records, click the down arrow [3]. For Windows users, we recommend only using Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the comments (download it for free here Links to an external site.), as annotations may not load when viewed in the browser or with other programs. Please click here for more instructions for viewing and printing comments from Adobe Acrobat reader. For Mac users, we recommend using Preview to view the downloaded file. Please click here for more information on viewing downloaded assignments with tutor annotations.

NOTE: If your tutor has uploaded an annotated PDF with their comments instead of annotating directly in Canvas (this especially occurs with certain Maths or Science courses), please ensure that you can view their comments when you download the file. If you cannot view any comments or annotations, please contact your tutor or your Student Progress Manager.
