If you wish to download annotated assignments for a course which has been completed, please see the information on viewing past enrolments before following the steps below. Please note: as an oberver you will not be able to download annotated assignments on a completed course. Please ensure you use the student's account to do this.

1. From your Canvas account, please click on a course, then Grades, then the Assignment you would like to download.

2. On the assignment page, beneath the assignment information, you will see your file submission with your tutor's annotations included. Click the download button as shown in the image below.

Once downloaded, please follow this guide from Acrobat Reader on how to print the tutor's comments.

Instructions for viewing the downloaded annotated script

Please note, if the file is opened directly, the annotations may appear to be of one colour and the detail lost:

However, if opened with a suitable pdf reader, the green/blue comments should still be apparent.

Suggested pdf reader for Mac users:

When opened with Preview green/blue boxes will be displayed

We therefore recommend viewing the file through Preview for Mac users.

Suggested pdf reader for Windows users:

Please be aware that you will need to download Adobe Reader (free of charge) if you do not already have this. Once downloaded, a dropper with no text will appear in red, as shown below. Please follow this guide from Acrobat Reader on how to print the tutor's comments.
