STUDYING GEOGRAPHY
Geography has been called "the mother of all sciences". It is a subject that brings together knowledge from a variety of disciplines to help scientists and researchers better understand this amazing planet.
Those who study Geography are better prepared to understand topics impacting our planet such as climate change Links to an external site., global warming Links to an external site., desertification and water resource issues.
But in addition to just gaining knowledge of our planet and its people, studying Geography will teach you to think critically, to carry out research, and to communicate your ideas in writing – skills that are highly valued in both Higher Education and the workplace.
In this Cambridge IGCSE course, you will examine a range of natural and man-made environments and study some of the processes which affected their development. You will also look at the ways in which people interact with their environment and the opportunities and challenges an environment can present, thereby gaining a deeper insight into the different communities and cultures that exist around the world.
STUDYING WITH WOLSEY HALL
Course Structure
Each of our Wolsey Hall courses is written around a specialised course book which has been chosen by our tutor team as the best available text for each syllabus. You will be guided through this book by working through a series of online Modules. These course Modules have been developed by a subject specialist and include guidance linked to the course book and extensive online resources. At the end of each Module, there is an interactive quiz which enables you to assess how much of the syllabus you have understood so far. Once you are happy that you have achieved all the learning objectives for that Module, you will begin work on the Module Assignment. The Assignments are submitted online and marked by your Course Tutor. Each Assignment is assessed by your tutor and returned with a grade and detailed feedback.
This CAIE Geography course consists of nine Modules and concludes with our Exam Prep Module and Mock Examination service.
