Introduction

Remember the basics here. At AS Level you learnt that increasing temperature lead to more successful collisions per second and an increased fraction of molecules with energy exceeding the activation energy. This still applies and needs to be stated.

In this section we use the Arrhenius equation to quantify the relationship between the temperature and the rate constant for a reaction. You don’t have to learn it as you will be given the equation during the exam.
