Introduction
In this topic you will learn to do the following:
- Talk about your school buildings and school equipment
- Use prepositions with the accusative.
Reading
Exercise 1, page 24. Read Henry’s email describing eight different rooms and pieces of equipment in his school. Write down the eight rooms or things and their translations in your native language. Decide whether Henry finds each room or piece of equipment Positiv (P) or Negativ (N).
Listening
Exercise 2, page 24. Listen to the recording of Leo and Sara and choose the correct answer (A-C) for questions 1-6:

Grammar
Exercise 3, page 24. Study E1 in the Grammatik section of the course book to learn about prepositions with the accusative. Then use what you have learned to choose the word (from the red box on page 25) that best fits each of the sentences 1-8.
Now read the Email from exercise 1 again and find four prepositions with the accusative; copy them down along with their translations in your native language.
Workbook
Exercise E1, page 41. Complete the exercise in your grammar workbook to practise using prepositions with the accusative. Be careful though! You will need to use the indefinite article in sentences 1-4 and the definite article in sentences 5-8!
Speaking
Exercise 4, page 25. Either with a partner, or working alone, create (and say aloud) answers to the role play questions 1-5.
Writing
Exercise 5, page 25. Create text for a poster that describes your school (or home school) to new students. Try to include all the information in the bullet points.
