Introduction
In this topic you will learn to do the following:
- Describe your house and the rooms in it
- Use the definite article (the).
Reading
Exercise 1, page 14. Read the article at the top of the page and decide if each statement (1-8) is ‘Richtig,’ ‘Falsch’ or ‘nicht angegeben.’
Listening
Exercise 2, page 14. Listen to the recording and decide which picture (A-H) belongs to which speaker:

Grammar
Exercise 3, page 15. Study A3 in the Grammatik section at the back of your course book and decide which form of the definite article (in the red box) fills the gap in each sentence (1-8).
Workbook
Exercises 1 and 2, pages 6 and 7. Complete the exercises in your grammar workbook, adapting the definite article to the cases required. You can use the table on page 6 to help you.
Speaking
Exercise 4, page 15. Either with a partner or working alone, create (and say aloud) answers to questions 1-5. Use the phrases in the pink box to help you.
Writing
Exercise 5, page 15. Write a short text advertising a house for sale. Make sure that you include all the information outlined in the bullet points.
