Growth mindset is the belief that success depends on time and effort.
Ways you can support your child to have a growth mindset:
- Celebrate their mistakes. Explain that mistakes are marvellous! Noticing and correcting mistakes helps our brains to grow.
- End a sentence with "Yet". If your child says, "I can’t spell that.” Reply with “Yet,” in order develop self belief.
- Help your child to learn more about growth mindset. Class Dojo have put together a series of short videos on how to begin understanding growth mindset:
