Module One
Module One is an overall introduction to the 20th century. It deals with the key social, technological and political changes that turned the world into a modern one. You will have the chance to understand the work of the suffrage movement in gaining the vote for women. Later, you will be able to compare Module One to the last module where you can compare and contrast how life has changed for us over the last 100 years.
You should work through each topic, reading your coursebook, and completing the activities. If you feel that you need more support or feel ready for an extra challenge, we direct you to optional resources.
When you have completed the topics, there is a quiz for you to complete. You can retake the quiz as many times as you like. When you have achieved over 50% in the quiz, Assignment One will become unlocked for you to complete.
Don’t forget that after your tutor has marked your assignment, a mark scheme and specimen set of answers will be available for you to view. Aim to study these carefully and these will be very helpful for your next assignment too!
