We shall now revise how to multiply and divide negative numbers.

When multiplying, or dividing, positive and negative integers, please remember the following:

  • If the signs of the two numbers being multiplied or divided are different, the answer will be negative.
  • If the signs of the two numbers being multiplied or divided are the same, the answer will be positive.
