Module One Introduction
Welcome to Module One of your Year 7 Maths course!
Module One is the first of three modules on number values. A number is a basic unit of maths. We use numbers for counting, when we measure anything and for comparing amounts.
You will explore place value and decimals, negative numbers, mental and written methods of addition and subtraction, and fractions.
You should work through each topic, reading your course book, completing the activities and watching the video tutorials. Remember that if you need more support or feel ready for an extra challenge, we direct you to optional pages in the MyMaths 1A and 1C course books.
When you have completed the topics, there is a quiz for you to complete. You can retake the quiz as many times as you like. When you have achieved over 50% in the quiz, Assignment One will become unlocked for you to complete.
