Topic Two (1.2): Multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1000
Introduction
In this topic, you will familiarise with multiplying and dividing by powers of ten, using your knowledge of place value. Each column in the place value system is 10 times bigger than the column on the right. This means that we can multiply by 10, 100 and 1000 by simply moving digits to the left. We can divide numbers by 10, 100 and 1000 by moving the digits to the right.
