Introduction
When numbers are too hard to add or subtract in your head we use written methods instead. This section looks at using the column method.
Working through your course book
- Go to the MyMaths 1B digital book and watch the video on page 13.
- Now read page 12, which gives examples of how the column method is used to add and subtract numbers on paper.
- Answer the questions on page 13, except question 8.
