Your Coursebook and Other Resources
Wolsey Hall offers a unique model of offline and online resources to our homeschooling students – a model which we have developed based on our many years of experience.
All the files required for your course are uploaded onto our Learning Management System, Canvas and your coursebook will be sent out to you.
Coursebook
Each subject specialist team carefully selects the best course book from which you will study. The course book for your Physics course is:
- Cambridge IGCSE & O Level Complete Physics: Student Book Fourth Edition (2021) by Stephen Pople and Anna Harris, (OUP); ISBN: 9781382005944
Throughout the course, we recommend that you try all the questions in the coursebook – the Programme of Study (POS) will highlight which pages you should read for each module. This coursebook has been written specifically for the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus and will form the basis of your course. The questions at the end of each sub-section in the coursebook are best attempted as each double-page spread is completed, but they are not compulsory. The answers to these questions can be found at the end of the book. These will not be assessed.
Other resources
In addition to your coursebook, your tutors have sourced lots of interesting and fun resources to support your learning. These resources are clearly indicated in each module and you should make use of these alongside your coursebook work to ensure that you get the very best out of your course.
We subscribe to Twig World and make use of their excellent video resources to help with your understanding of the many scientific concepts.
At the end of the course, you can make use of the extensive exam preparation material to help you prepare for your final examination. You will find past papers as well as their mark schemes in Module Eleven: Exam Preparation.
