- describe the course of the River Severn;
- compare photos of The Wharfage in Ironbridge;
- devise questions about your own area using different command words to those in this topic.

- Activity 1 - These two photos show a road in Ironbridge called The Wharfage. It runs alongside the River Severn. The photo on the right shows the River Severn in flood, back in 2000. To prevent similar flood levels from damaging the shopfronts, temporary barriers are erected along The Wharfage whenever there is a flood warning.
- Activity 5 - Use these new command words to create questions about the place where you live. You could use photos, maps or other information to give yourself inspiration for the questions.
- geog.1, pages 16-17 – read through these pages and complete all the ‘Your turn’ activities
- A great way to learn the command words is to create a set of flash cards. Cut a piece of A4 card into 15 pieces (5 x 3 grid). On each piece write the command word on one side and a definition on the other.
