By the end of this topic you should be able to:
- explain the terms: GIS (Geographical Information System), latitude, longitude, heatmap;
- name the four components of GIS;
- explain why latitude and longitude need to be recorded when collecting data to be used for GIS;
- explain why it is useful to be able to switch layers on and off with GIS;
- decide why heatmaps might be useful.
Introduction
