  • Read through pages 32-35. Complete the activities as you come to them. Use the planning notes on page 32 to help you before writing the letter for the assignment. Download Worksheet 1.3 for more help. For the highest grades try to use the PEE technique as this assignment will be based on your reading and analysis skills. The PEE technique means:
    • Point – Make a point (your main idea).
    • Example – Support your idea with a quotation from the extract (remember to use quotation marks “”).
    • Explain – Analyse why this quote is effective / what image it helps you to picture.
  • Before attempting the assignment students should watch the video Using Quotations and PEE.
