Welcome to your Wolsey Hall Year 7 English course!
How do you create and develop a science fiction story? What is imagery? How can you use techniques in a spoken presentation?
From poetry to novels, from podcasts to TV news reports, the Wolsey Hall Year 7 English course is packed full of activities, quizzes, explanations and videos to allow you to answer these questions and much, much more.
The course also links to a wealth of resources on Kerboodle Links to an external site.* which will truly enhance your learning experience.
You will work your way through seven modules which follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary English Curriculum and English National Curriculum, using the Ignite 1 textbook as your core course book. You will also read The Explorer by Katherine Rundell and you will develop your spelling, punctuation and grammar skills throughout the course.
Before starting the course, you should complete the Introduction to Lower Secondary English module. This will help you familiarise yourself with the layout and structure of the Lower Secondary English course, which will be very different to what you will have been used to at Primary level.
