INTRODUCTION
Welcome to our Cambridge IGCSE French course. This guide explains how the course is structured, how your work will be assessed and how to get the most out of your studies, so please read it carefully before you start.
This course leads you step-by-step through the syllabus using your coursebook, video links, quizzes and assignments. In addition, six half-hour video call lessons with your tutor prepare you for the French speaking paper so that by the end you will feel confident and ready to show off all you have learnt in your IGCSE exam.
Since we want you to have the most fun possible as you learn French, we have provided internet links to great sites which we hope will add interest to your course and allow you to practise the language interactively. There are numerous links to audio and video material, so we hope you will make use of these to help open your home school to the French-speaking world.
By the end of the course you should be able to manipulate the language to say what you want to say as well understand what is being said to you and you should be able to read, understand and pronounce French well.
Your French tutor will give you detailed feedback throughout. All our tutors have taught French for many years and have worked with students of all abilities - so as always, feel free to ask any questions.
