(1.1) Ejercicio 1, página 10
Leer / Reading
Read through the questionnaire and match each question with the corresponding topic. For example, “1. ¿Cómo te llamas?” will go with: “C. Nombre”.
After you have matched each topic and question correctly, go over the questions again and highlight/underline each interrogative pronoun. Remember that all interrogative pronouns in Spanish have got a spelling accent (tilde/acento) and that all questions have got two question marks: one at the beginning and one at the end of the question (¿?).
¿Quieres hacer más? / Want to do more?
If you wish, you can think of other important aspects of personal information that haven’t been covered in Exercise 1 and write a list in your notebook with all the questions you would ask. For some extra help, read the two boxes in this page, “Interrogativos” and “Consejo”, where you have a list of all interrogative pronouns and some advice about what points to include if you need to describe yourself.
Rincón Cultural / Culture Corner
Whenever you find one of these boxes, you’ll get an insight into an aspect the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. It is very important that you know and understand the context in which you can find a language. In this case, you can find an explanation about surnames (apellidos) and “diminutivos” (short version of a first name used by family and friends). Enjoy reading it!
