(1.1) Ejercicio 2, página 11
Actividad preparatoria / Thinking ahead
Cover the texts of Activity 2 (page 11) and have a good look at the photographs of the three youngsters. Imagine - What do you think their names are? What are their nationalities? Their ages? Who are their families?
You may not be aware, but stopping to make predictions before reading a new text is a great way to help you think about what you already know about that topic. Making predictions before reading can also increase your interest in the text, as you’ll want to find out if your predictions are accurate or not. Try and incorporate this little exercise into your reading routine and you’ll become a proficient reader!
Leer / Reading
Read the three presentations and complete the task by highlighting/underlining each bit of personal information. Try and work independently and use your dictionary if there is any vocabulary that you don’t know.
¿Quieres hacer más? / Want to do more?
You can do some writing practice by adding extra information about each of the three people in the texts, OR by writing a similar text about somebody you know well or even yourself.
