Software Requirements
To complete the course, you will need the following software on your computer or access to the websites listed. You do not need to install the software in advance of the relevant module. When you get to the module, we will guide you through what needs to be installed (for PC or for MAC).
Don't forget to ask permission before downloading software and installing things on a computer if it doesn't belong to you!
Module One
There are no specific requirements for this module.
Module Two
This topic will involve Python programming. While the demonstrations within the book are completed within IDLE (which is normally installed alongside Python), we request that students sign up to and use the free website TLJH (Logging in to TLJH), just like in previous Python modules. There is no installable software needed.
Module Three
This chapter, like the ones in Parts One and Two, is demonstrated, in the coursebook, in Notepad++. However, for this module we need to be able to test your code, so we request that students sign up to and use the free website TLJH, just like in the previous Python modules. There is no installable software needed, and it means you can just share the URL of your TLJH website with your tutor when you need help or when you are submitting your assignment.
Module Four
There are no specific requirements for this module.
Module Five
There are no specific requirements for this module.
Module Six
There is no installable software needed for this module. You can use the TLJH site as before and you are asked to use this so that your tutor is better able to support you.
