- develop a logic circuit for a problem;
- produce a written report for a problem solution.
You might also be able to:
- evaluate your solutions to a problem.
Introduction
This module has covered a lot of topics, and some in-depth detail as to how a computer works. In this topic, you will bring together a number of these skills to apply what you have learnt to a practical problem.
Working through your coursebook
Read pages 38 —40 in your Computing Stage 9 book.
- Make sure that you understand the keyword described on page 38. Add it to your cram.com Links to an external site. flashcards.
- Complete the Part 1 activity on page 38; make sure to test your program on the little man computer.
- Complete the Part 2 activity on page 39; test your circuit with a truth table.
- Complete the Part 3 activity on pages 39-40; write your report in Google docs, remembering all of the skills you have learnt about report writing in Parts 1 and 2 of this course.
- Complete the Evaluation activity on pages 40-41.
- Make sure to keep all of your activities, as you may need to use these in your assignment.
Review
Reflect upon the four pages you have just covered. In your notes, summarise:
- what you have learnt;
- what you already knew;
- what surprised you;
- what you are curious to know more about.
