Welcome to Year 8 German! This is a really exciting course as it starts with food! What better way to begin than describing your breakfast! You are going to balance out the pleasures of eating with the pleasures of reading when you move on to find out about German writers and fairy tales. You will also learn to talk about your holidays and where you live.
You are going to find that you make real progress with grammar in this course. You will be revising use of the perfect tense with haben, and extending this to form the perfect tense with sein. You will also be learning about both the imperfect and the future tense!
Access to the Kerboodle Links to an external site.* and Language Nut Secondary Links to an external site.* websites will support your learning throughout the course.
So have fun eating, drinking and using an impressive range of tenses. There are lots of opportunities to push yourself in this course and your communication in German should become steadily more complex and sophisticated. Good luck.
