Module Two: Introduction
Module Two is all about World War I, also known as the Great War. Cause, course and consequences will be developed using extended writing tasks, source work and short answer questions. World War I is a really important subject in the curriculum as it was a war that was fought for very little real reason. This is why so many people remember World War I today.
You should work through each topic, reading your coursebook, and completing the activities. If you feel that you need more support or feel ready for an extra challenge, we direct you to optional resources.
When you have completed the topics, there is a quiz for you to complete. You can retake the quiz as many times as you like. When you have achieved over 50% in the quiz, Assignment Two will become unlocked for you to complete.
Don’t forget that after your tutor has marked your assignment, a mark scheme and specimen set of answers will be available for you to view. Aim to study these carefully and these will be very helpful for your next assignment too!
