Standard deviation – you will not be asked to calculate one but you need to know what it is and why it is used/important:

Note that you will not have to do any calculations for the data analysis section of your exam and it is highly unlikely that any questions in the area will be worth more than a few marks. CAIE tends to concentrate on the core studies, general research methods and the approaches in the exams. On the following site – don't worry about the syllabus - choose AQA/OCR or use the search bar to look for the subject matter, e.g. correlations:
