Module One Introduction
Welcome to the first module of your Year 9 English as an Additional Language course!
In Module One you will listen to and read different viewpoints on various themes. You will read views on what it is like to be a teenager, discuss what you would expect to find in a book about teenage psychology, listen to a discussion about role models and a conversation about teenage stereotypes. You will learn about report writing, as well as read extracts from an autobiography.
You should work through each topic, reading your coursebook, listening to the audio tracks, watching any videos and completing the activities. Remember to check your answers. If you feel that you need more support or are ready for an extra challenge, we direct you to optional resources, which are available in Canvas or online.
When you have completed the topic work, there is an assignment for you to complete.
