What Does This Course Cover?

All the files required for your Course are uploaded onto our Learning Management System, Canvas. This Course is divided into ten Modules as follows:

  • Module One: Functions
  • Module Two: Simultaneous Equations and Quadratic Functions
  • Module Three: Factors of Polynomials, Equations, Inequalities and Graphs
  • Module Four: Logarithmic and Exponential Functions and Straight Line Graphs
  • Module Five: Coordinate Geometry of a Circle
  • Module Six: Circular Measure and Trigonometry
  • Module Seven: Permutations, Combinations and Series
  • Module Eight: Differentiation One
  • Module Nine: Vectors in 2 Dimensions and Differentiation Two
  • Module Ten: Integration and Kinematics

Each Module is subdivided into Topics so that you can study the course in manageable chunks. Each Topic is set out as follows:

Explorative Tutorials – there will be links to videos which introduce the new concepts and demonstrate how they are applied.

Interactive Practice – this section is for those students who would like to extend their knowledge and understanding of that topic material. We would encourage those students aiming for high grades to work through all our extension exercises.

Reading and Consolidation – this section will include both the page references and required activities from your coursebook.

At the end of each Module, you should complete the End of Module Quiz to test your understanding of material covered in the module. This is a multiple-choice activity that can be completed as many times as you wish to ensure that you have achieved all the learning goals for the Module. You should only begin the Assignment when you have completed all the topics and achieved a score of 90% or more in the Quiz.

All Wolsey Hall IGCSE courses conclude with the Exam Prep Module. Here you will find guidance to help you revise and practise your Maths, as well as accessing a bank of CAIE past papers and mark schemes.

At the end of each Canvas topic and study session pages, you have the option to click the Mark as Done button. This will aid you in easily finding your last point reached after taking breaks from studying.
