E2L - Adverbs
Whereas an adjective describes a noun, such as ‘pretty’ or ‘ugly’, an adverb describes verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs, such as ‘quietly’ or ‘carefully’.
Adverbs are a collection of words that describe where, how or when an action took place.
To create an adverb, we normally add ly to the adjective:
She spoke quickly.
However, the spelling can sometimes be different:
The girls are dancing happily.
