E2L - Nouns
Common nouns refer to general things such as ‘a city’ or ‘a mountain’, and proper nouns refer to specific things (such as ‘Oxford’ or ‘Everest’). Proper nouns always have a capital letter but common nouns are only capitalised if they are at the beginning of sentences.
