E2L - Phrasal verbs
Phrasal verbs are very popular in spoken English and can be confusing. Phrasal verbs are what we call two words that come together and act as a completely new word with a different meaning from the original words. For example, call off means to ‘cancel’ and is very different from the definitions of call and off alone.
