Showing your workings

Showing your workings is another important skills for Maths. We encourage you to get into the habit of showing your workings (the way you work out the answer to the question) in your assignments. This ensures that you are using the correct method to reach your answer and enables you to check your own work when you have finished. It also allows your Wolsey Hall tutor to see what method you have used and, if there are any mistakes, to identify where you have gone wrong. You may be given marks in your assignments for your workings, so do make sure that writing them out becomes routine.
