Welcome to your Wolsey Hall IGCSE English Language Course
This Sample shows One module from the full course and is designed to give you a flavour of the Wolsey Hall approach to home study.
STUDYING ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Language is our primary source of communication. It's the method through which we share our ideas and thoughts with others. Although the English language doesn’t have the largest number of native speakers in the world, it has the widest reach of any language spoken today.
This Cambridge IGCSE English Language course is designed for learners whose first language is English. The course will enable you to develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively when speaking and writing. You will learn how to use a wide range of vocabulary, along with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
The course also develops more general analysis and communication skills such as inference, and the ability to order facts and present opinions effectively.
STUDYING WITH WOLSEY HALL
Course Structure
Each of our Wolsey Hall courses is written around a specialised course book which has been chosen by our tutor team as the best available text for each syllabus. You will be guided through this book by working through a series of online Modules. These course Modules have been developed by a subject specialist and include guidance linked to the course book and extensive online resources. Once you are happy that you have achieved all the learning objectives for that Module, you will begin work on the Module Assignment. The Assignments are submitted online and marked by your Course Tutor. Each Assignment is assessed by your tutor and returned with a grade and detailed feedback.
This CAIE English First Language course consists of eleven Modules and concludes with our Exam Prep Module and Mock Examination service.
