LOWER PRIMARY ENGLISH YEAR 2 SAMPLE

Welcome to this sample Wolsey Hall Year 2 English course. This sample contains one week of lesson plans from the first Part of the course.

The full Year 2 course contains three Parts each of twelve weeks, so 36 weeks of lesson plans in total.

We've designed the course so that it's a three way partnership between you, your child and the Wolsey Hall team. We will do all we can to ensure your child gets the best possible start to their education but we will need you to play your part in the process also.

We've outlined the key ways that you can support your child on the course here.

We recommend that you take the time to go through this introduction before starting work with your child as it provides useful tips for supporting your child on the course. 

Learning the necessary skills and knowledge to teach your child English will take an extra investment of time at the start.  However, as the structure of our lessons is repeated you will find them easier to use as you move through the course.

Each week contains ten lesson plans covering the learning material for that week. How you work through these lessons is up to you and your child: you may wish to complete more than one lesson per day for example. Every child is different so we've designed the course to be flexible and geared to the individual needs of your child. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

From time to time the Student Progress Manager or tutor may put up an Announcement on Canvas - if the tutor is going to be away, for example, or if they have added new material to the course. Announcements will come through to your email address automatically but you can also access Announcements by clicking on the Announcements icon.

ASSESSMENT

Every three weeks there will be an assignment for your child to complete and send to the Wolsey Hall tutor.

Clicking on the Assignment icon will take you to the assignments.

Click on the Grades icon to see the Grades for each assignment your child has completed.
