To practise the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Introduction

In this topic, you will review the key language and grammar from Module 1. You will extend your knowledge and build your confidence in using it in different contexts.

Working through your coursebook

Please work through the following sections in your coursebook, completing all listed exercises:

Page 16 Exercise 1. Revise your numbers by writing them in the correct order from smallest to largest.
Page 16 Exercise 2. Read the dates and write them out in full, using the example to help you.
Page 16 Exercise 3. Copy the table and categorise the words in the green box as relating to either eyes (yeux) or hair (cheveux). Fill in the table with them in French. Note the English translation next to any words you are unsure of.
Page 16 Exercise 4. Match the questions in the purple box to their answer in the pink box. Ensure that you understand the meaning of both!
Page 16 Exercise 5. Answer the questions from Exercise 4 about yourself by writing a paragraph.
Page 17 Exercise 1. Maths in French! Do the sums and write out your answers in words.
Page 17 Exercise 2. Complete the gap fill activity.
Page 17 Exercise 3. Read the text about Doria. Decide whether the statements are True or False. If they are false, can you correct them with the information given?
Page 17 Exercise 4. Choose a famous person and write a mini autobiography for them using the structures given.
Page 20 Exercise 1. Listen to audio Disc 1 Track 13. Decide which topic each person is talking about.

Page 20 Exercise 2. Prepare answers to the questions and then record yourself reading them. Listen back and see if you can see any ways you could improve your pronunciation.
