What does the course cover? The programme of study
On the Wolsey Hall Year 9 Art and Design course you will work your way through six modules which follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum.
We have ensured that all of the Cambridge curriculum requirements are covered in the course and the table below provides an overview of the course content.

- Before Module One, there is an introductory video call with your tutor.
- At the end of Module Three, there is a mid-course review.
- At the end of Module Seven, there is an end-of-course review.
The course framework is based on students having about 1.5 hours of Art and Design per week.
Before you complete Assignment 1, you will be asked if you would be willing to share any outstanding work you produce in an on-line virtual gallery. This gallery will only be accessible to students on this course.

Module One: Drawing Fundamentals – Portraits |
Module Overview In Module 1 you will learn about drawing portraits. You will learn how to add shading and tone to your portrait, as well as animation. |

Module Overview In Module 4 you will learn how to use hot flour paste to make dragons. You will learn the techniques necessary to make your figure look as realistic as possible. |
