What Does This Course Cover?
The course is divided into ten modules which cover one section of the syllabus at a time. These modules are:
- Module One: Introduction to Prose
- Module Two: Developing Prose
- Module Three: Introduction to Poetry
- Module Four: Developing Poetry
- Module Five: Introduction to Drama, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream Act I
- Module Six: Drama 2 – A Midsummer Night’s Dream Acts II and III
- Module Seven: Drama 3 – A Midsummer Night’s Dream Acts IV and V
- Module Eight: Unseen Poetry Analysis
- Module Nine: Unseen Prose Analysis
- Module Ten: Exam Preparation
Each module is subdivided into topics so that you can study the course in manageable chunks; this will help you to get the most out of your coursebook. Within each topic you are given opportunities to do the following:

In most topics you will also find opportunities to explore what you’ve learnt in greater depth. This could be via links to additional resources, including videos, or by providing downloadable materials that will help you organise your studies, enhance your understanding of key concepts and give you an opportunity to apply your knowledge or review what you’ve learnt.
