Module One Introduction

If you haven't studied Year 7 Science with Wolsey Hall please take time to go through Module Zero all about Working Scientifically which you will need for both your practicals and your other assignments questions.

If you did study Year 7 Science with Wolsey Hall then you should review and expand your Working Scientifically knowledge by working through Topic Zero.

Module One is a Biology (Chapter One, green pages in Activate 2) module which explores health and lifestyle. You will learn how to keep your body healthy by eating a nutritionally balanced diet, and about the ill effects of drugs, cigarette smoke and alcohol. You will also be studying how the digestive system and enzymes work.

You should work through each topic, reading your coursebook, completing the activities and watching any videos. If you feel that you need more support or are ready for an extra challenge, we direct you to optional resources. Remember that you can check your answers to the Activate exercises and there are mark schemes for all the worksheets in the 'Check your answers' section on each topic page.

Before you complete Assignment One, there are nine topics to complete.
