Module One Introduction

In this module, you will learn about musical instruments and how they have been grouped. Instruments have been divided into five groups or 'musical families', as they are often called.  These are String, Keyboard, Percussion, Woodwind and Brass. We will learn about the instruments in each group, how they sound and how we can identify them.  Each instrument is unique in the way it produces sound, how it has been built and the way it looks. Let's explore this in more detail.

We recommend spending 8-10 hours on this module (excluding the assignment).

Before you complete Assignment 01, there are six topics to complete.
